Lucky Day!

5 years ago today I met my husband....gaaaaaaa! : ) Also a friend had a baby today...yay!!!! Gosh I have been such a bad poster lately. I am working on so many projects, not updating my blog, working OT at work (ugh!), having interviews for new jobs. BUSY!!!!!!! I am really trying to finish my Rowan purse this weekend and I am knitting a somewhat slightly modified version of Odessa for my mom. My mom leaves for Memphis for a month for work this weekend. I will miss her!

Thanks Pal (2)!

I got ANOTHER gift from my angel secret pal. I am feeling so spoiled and I am having a bad time right now and the pick me ups are very nice.

I STILL cannot find my card reader. This weekend I am going to tear the house apart looking for it so I can post some pictures to my boring ol blog.

This week I got three skeins of super duper nice berroco cotton. Two in sage green and one is a wonderful mix of sage green and pinks and cream. I L -O-V-E IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also got a postcard last week that I forgot to post about (sorry pal).

Celebrity Sightings.

First we saw Jay Buhner while we were out with friends on Saturday night at Coho in Issaquah....pretty cool.

Then on Sunday while out in U Village with Karen to sit and knit we saw Jessica of Rose-Kim Knits. I thought it would be nice on our way out if she was still where we were at to just say hello and that I read her blog. Well according to Steph that can be a tad creepy.

Ok first a disclaimer I have been having mood problems lately so this is going to sound very bitchy and maybe the normal Sarah wouldn't be bothered by that comment

Personally I think it is the neatest thing to meet blogging knitters in person (that was not the first time). I think in this crazy busy world that we live in it is nice to connect with a stranger for just a short moment in time. One thing that bothers me is when you are out in public no one wants to make eye contact, no one smiles at strangers anymore.

When you put a blog out there on the internet and put your picture on it (not going off on Jessica she was very nice) you have to think that people are going to read it and maybe sometime someone is going to recognize you and maybe say hello. If I am creepy for just wanting to say hi to someone whose blog I enjoy reading so be it then.

Another nice night

Went out with Karen again for another friday night knit and bitch. It was Knit Night at Village again but it was so busy and crazy last week that we decided to venture out on our own. Since no other yarn shops seem to be open after 6pm on a friday night (if you know of some PLEASE let me know), we hit JoAnn's to cop a feel and then headed to borders to look at knitting books and magazines and knit.

I have to say I really enjoyed myself. I forgot how great borders is and it is free! Well free that is if you don't buy any books. But for a nice quiet time with a friend it is a good date.

BRRRR Its Cold!

So I have put my stash on a freeze! I am so sad : ( However I have a lot of yarn to work with and make beautiful things out of. My husband and I just need to get some finances in order and yarn is an expense we can't be spending money on.

I was running out of room in our small house for yarn anyway.

Knitting Olympics Update

Well I did finish my hat before the olympics were over. I finished it on Thursday night. I still HAVE NOT found my stupid card reader for my dumb camera. What I have learned..... Charts aren't that bad if you follow them the right way. I hate small cables :)
