Yep folks that's right. For the first time in my life I got fired. Oh well their loss not mine. The reason....I don't play nice with others. Funny because every other job I have ever had I have been told I was an outstanding employee and a pleasure to work with. Go Figure.

Wait. How the hell can they fire you if you quit? They can't. They can ask you to leave sooner but they can't can you.

And, PS: Make them put it in writing so that you can show that your resignation was accepted the day before you got canned.

They fired you after you gave notice? Sachi is right -- once you give notice they CANNOT state that they were ones that terminated your employment. Also, when they told you to leave, did they give you a check for all of your pay, including vacation time and sick leave, on the spot? If not, they may have violated labor laws and you may be able to file a complaint and receive the missing pay as well as sanctions. Also check and see if you are eligible for unemployment even if you quit. In some cases, making your life hell on the jobsite negates the fact you quit.
