I guess technically since my "notice" went something like this
"I will no longer be available to work days as of june 29th. Since it has been brought to my attention that I do not fit into the culture of _______ I will understand if afternoon hours are not available to me"
Now I had expected someone in management to discuss this with me. I figured they needed to pow-wow before they got back to me. In this time my husband and I decided that I would just say when I came back from the holiday weekend that I can't work afternoon's either but they beat me to the punch and fired me. I know my head was on the chopping block anyway and since no one discussed my change of schedule I had a feeling they were going to let me go. Of course now I wish I would have listened to my husband and just went ahead and quit period.
So "technically" that was not "official" notice because I said I was still available for some hours. Yes it sucks, working for other people pretty much sucks thankfully I am my own boss now.

I am finally going to get out of this hellhole that I have hated since I started here over a year ago. Working here has seriously been THE WORST experience of my entire life. I can't wait to be home FT with my kids. That will be MUCH more rewarding.
As of now it seems that I have officially pissed off ALL of my co-workers and everyone hates me so it will be a fun month!

I am very tired today
I went with a mission. Every yarn purchase would be for a specific project and I won!
Edited to add:
I realize that I didn't even say what I got or what it is for.
On Friday I hit the Yarn Stash in Burien (didn't buy anything) and one of my fave's the Yarn Gallery where I got the tatting book and a few thread varieties (not pictured) for tatting.
Sunday the first shop was Great Yarns where they were featuring a cute baby bootie pattern but I didn't want to spend $15 on the skein of yarn when I have stash yarn to use at home.
From Main Street Yarn in Mill Creek I got some very cute cotton to go with the baby hat that they were featuring. Then Let it Rain Yarn shop in Mukilteo where I picked up a great belt pattern made from bamboo yarn and of course the yarn to make it.
There was also Spin a Yarn in Edmonds. Lots of yarn mostly organized by color. I prefer by type. I didn't see anything I couldn't live without so I left there with just the free pattern.
Hit up Village Yarn where they had a great lace pattern.
Oh my gosh Weaving Works! I love this store. Why have I not gone there before? This is where i picked up the cone o cotton for hello! $6 come on! what a deal! I also picked up two skeins of Louet Gems sock yarn for striped socks. People rave about it and it is really soft so I will have to try it out.
The last stop was Fiber Gallery also another nice shop that I should visit more often just a bit out of my neighborhood. Here I picked up some Heilo that was on sale for baby sweaters and some white Fixation for socks for Paul.

I finished my first pair of socks made from Cascade Fixation. I have stayed away from this yarn before because #1 the skeins never looked like enough to make socks and #2 I was just scared of it. But I....LOVE...THESE....SOCKS!
In an effort to bust through my sock stash I am now trying to focus more of my knitting on socks. I also have another pair on the needles. Some Lorna's Laces sassy stripes in a bright pink and orangy colorway.
This is also another major project I have been working on for Miss Riley. I wanted to have it done before summer but that doesn't look likely. I try to do at least a few rows on it when I am sitting in my recliner.
In other non knitting news I have been immensely busy at home freelancing. My secret project person you know who you are and I have not forgotten about you. I am working and sorry I am not done yet! :(
